TOP WELLBEING EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR – ROMANIA 2023 focuses on discovering and awarding the companies in Romania that place the highest emphasis on the wellbeing of their employees and the communities in which they operate.   

The project’s main goal is to publicly recognize and highlight the best physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing initiatives for employees, thereby contributing to a better understanding of the field in Romania.

Irina
alionte

Founder of Bodyshape Transformation Centre

The author of the book ‘Bucuria de a fi în formă (The Joy of Being Fit),’ Irina Alionte, is an experienced entrepreneur with international business expertise. She established her first fitness-related business at the age of 24 in London while pursuing her Master’s degree in Marketing & Strategy at Warwick Business School. Her unconventional idea of combining fitness and a club-like atmosphere expanded to several universities in the UK, earning her the Best Business Growth award and government funding from the British government. In 2014, after completing her studies in the UK, she founded Born2Succeed – a consulting company that has inspired thousands of coaches and entrepreneurs worldwide to develop their businesses. 

As a result of her business’s evolution, she was included in Forbes Romania’s ’30 under 30 most successful Romanians’ list. 

In January 2015, she launched the Bodyshape Transformation Centre in Bucharest, marking her presence in the fitness market. For over 8 years, she has been dedicated to fostering the business environment in Romania. 

ANDREEA
MARIN

Media personality and promoter of a healthy lifestyle

Andreea Marin has 30 years of experience in television and radio. She has worked as a reporter, host, and producer of shows, as well as an organizer of major events and campaigns such as the Atipic Beauty Gala. Her name is associated with national news, the Oscars – where she was a special correspondent, prestigious television galas and formats, the United Nations (UN), and UNICEF – as a Goodwill Ambassador. 

Andreea has traveled around the world to create documentaries such as “Kilimanjaro – The Roof of Africa,” becoming the first Romanian journalist to climb the highest peak of the black continent. She has also covered stories like “Iraq – The Carpathian Falcons Battalion,” “Thailand – Before and After the Tsunami,” “Cuba – The Last Communist Bastion,” and many others. She has been a spokesperson and ambassador for famous brands and has conducted interviews with notable personalities from around the world. She is a complex and energetic individual who believes that moderation is the key to success. Her life motto, as captured in the title of her latest book, is ”Nu exista nu se poate” (‘It’s impossible’ doesn’t exist)!'”

GHENEA

Serial entrepreneur and business angel

Partner at Venture Capital Fund Catalyst Romania (3TS Capital Partners), Marius Ghenea is listed among the business people according to Forbes Romania. As the co-founder of Venture Connect, a support platform for tech start-up entrepreneurs and investors, he has been involved in various educational activities, serving as a professor of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and New Business Ventures at Maastricht School of Management, Executive MBA program. He has also co-organized School for Startups Romania, the first entrepreneurship school in Southeast Europe, and is one of the founders of the BusinessDrive program for entrepreneurs and managers. 

Marius Ghenea is also the author of the first Romanian book on entrepreneurship titled “Antreprenoriat, Drumul de la Idei către Oportunități și Succes în Afaceri” (Entrepreneurship, The Journey from Ideas to Opportunities and Business Success). 

LARISA
IORDACHE

Olympic, World and European champion in gymnastics

Larisa Iordache is one of Romania’s most valuable gymnasts. 

She stepped into the gymnastics hall for the first time at the young age of 4, and for over 20 years, she has achieved remarkable accomplishments. 

Throughout her career, Larisa became an Olympic medalist (London, 2012), a quadruple World medalist (Antwerp, 2013; Nanning, 2014; Glasgow, 2015), and a 14-time European medalist, becoming the most decorated gymnast in the history of our country’s European Championships. 

Retiring from competitive gymnastics at the age of only 25 due to an injury, Larisa couldn’t stay away from the gym. As a result, she is currently a gymnastics coach, passing on everything she has accumulated throughout her career to future gymnasts.

Costin is the CEO and founder of Undelucram.ro, the largest employee community in Romania. With over 14 years of experience in IT & Customer Satisfaction and 9 years as an entrepreneur, Costin has created Undelucram.ro as a platform to foster healthy and sustainable relationships between employees and employers. The online platform functions as a one-stop-shop for candidates seeking real-time information about companies they aspire to build their careers with. Simultaneously, it serves as the perfect employer branding solution for employers looking for highly efficient targeting. 

ANDRA
PINTICAN

Founder of
the HR School

Andra is a People Advocate and the founder of the “HR School” project, under which she prepares HR professionals in organizational excellence and Employer Branding according to the new needs of the labor market, in the most comprehensive Human Resources learning program in Romania. 

She aims to redefine the relationship between Romanians and work. She firmly believes that we currently have an unhealthy approach to work, which affects both us and future generations. 

Setting work standards and enhancing transparency in collaboration relationships are two of her favorite topics in the community she has created on LinkedIn. She dreams and works towards a world where we all work according to our identity in people-centered companies. 

DR CEZAR
AMITITELOAIE

Unconventional
cardiologist

Dr. Cezar Amititeloaie is a graduate of the “Grigore T. Popa” Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iași (2006). He is a specialist cardiologist (since 2015) with a passion for nutrition, sports, and psychology. He is also an entrepreneur and the founder of the health and sports club Vivertine Iași. 

“As a cardiologist, entrepreneur, and someone passionate about nutrition, sports, and psychology, I have always tried to see things from different perspectives. I wanted to expand my horizons and avoided narrow fields, although I was attracted to interventional medicine. However, I increasingly understood that health is a complex concept that cannot be achieved through miraculous medications. Consequently, I chose to dedicate my career to prevention, helping people improve their lifestyle.”
